I learnt that you need a systematic approach to pursue your interests without burning out. And the best way to design a system is through defining boundary and rules. So, I choose 2 simple rules and a boundary condition to begin with.

• Rule 1: I should publish for a year, aka 52 weeks.
• Rule 2: I should mention the week number on the title to factor in the missing weeks.
• Boundary: Never spend more than 1 hour per day: for all book reading and tinkering with side projects.

Looking back, the version 1 of the experiment was sucessful. I read 7 books, worked on 4 side projects, and answered 5 questions on stackoverflow.

Now, for this year, I want to tweak rule #1. I'm changing the frequency from weekly to publishing when ready. The rest will stay the same. Let's see how weeklies season 2 goes!
