SEO - Title

I continued reading more about SEO best practices. This week I learnt about <title>.

• The average length of the page title that ranks on page 1 of Google is between 45 to 55 characters. If the title is lengthier, Google truncates it after displaying up to 60 characters.
• Use only ONE <title> tag to represent the page's title. Use <h2> for subheadings.
• If you're writing list-style posts, include the number in your title. e.g., N way to do ABC
• Prefer :, () over - when writing the title, since - is reserved for specifying the domain name.
• Avoid setting the date on the title unless there is a scope for updates + re-rank. e.g., How to solve XYZ in 2022.
• Avoid: appending domain names to the title to save characters since search engines auto appends it based on the context

Onebible Android app updates

I released v1.5.9 on Jul 12, 2021. An update was due for a very long time. Before I could work on any of the user reported issues, a migration to a recent android version was required even to get the build passing. I was focusing on wrapping it via tech: upgrade app to the recent android version (#23) PR.

Vimtutor
